Ingredients

500g beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 teaspoon red chili powder
Soorya Coin Parotta
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 green chilies, slit
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
2 large tomatoes, chopped
Water as needed
Chopped cilantro for garnishing

Directions

For beef marination, in a bowl, combine the beef pieces with red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
To make the beef stew, heat vegetable oil in a pot or pressure cooker over medium heat.
Add sliced onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until aromatic.
Add cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
Add the marinated beef and cook until it’s browned on all sides.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and the oil starts to separate.
Add enough water to cover the beef, salt to taste, and bring to a boil.
If using a pressure cooker, close the lid and cook for about 4-5 whistles, or until the beef is tender. If using a pot, simmer until the beef is cooked and tender, stirring occasionally. Adjust the seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
Heat Soorya’s Coin Parotta in a stove-top.
Serve the flavorful Beef Stew in Tomato Sauce with Soorya Coin Parottas.
