Chickpea Hummus with Whole Wheat Chapati

Create a perfect harmony of flavors and textures by pairing the creamy Chickpea Hummus with the wholesome goodness of Soorya’s Whole Wheat Chapatis for a delicious and nutritious treat.


1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
Soorya Whole Wheat Chapatis
1/4 cup tahini
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt to taste
Water (as needed for desired consistency)
Chopped fresh parsley


To prepare the chickpea hummus, in a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt.
Pulse the mixture until it starts to come together, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
With the food processor running, gradually add water a tablespoon at a time until the hummus reaches your desired creamy consistency. Continue to blend until smooth.
Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt or lemon juice if needed.
Heat Soorya Whole Wheat Parotta in a stove-top.
Transfer the chickpea hummus to a serving bowl.
Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle with paprika, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
