Enjoy the delicious and authentic taste of masala dosa, made effortlessly with Soorya’s Instant Dosa Batter.

Ingredients

Soorya’s Idly & Dosa Batter
2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 onion, finely chopped
1 green chili, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
Curry leaves
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Chopped cilantro (coriander leaves)
Ghee or Oil for cooking

Directions

Cut open the Soorya Instant Dosa Batter pack and scoop out the desired amount of batter into a bowl.
Dilute the batter with water to achieve the desired consistency. Mix well until smooth.
For the Potato Masala Filling, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
Add chopped onion and green chili. Sauté until the onion turns translucent. Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
Add the boiled and mashed potatoes. Stir and cook for a few minutes.
Garnish with chopped cilantro. The potato masala filling is ready.
To make our Dosa, heat a dosa pan or skillet over medium heat. Grease it lightly with ghee or oil.
Stir the Soorya Instant Dosa Batter before pouring it onto the pan.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the pan. Quickly spread it in a circular motion to create a thin dosa. Drizzle a little oil or ghee around the edges of the dosa.
Place a portion of the prepared potato masala filling in the center of the dosa.
Once the dosa turns golden brown and crispy on the edges, fold it over the masala to create a half-moon shape.
Serve the Instant Masala Dosa hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
