1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil for frying
Soorya Whole Wheat Chapatis
Homemade or store-bought hummus
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced cucumbers
Sliced red onion

Directions

To prepare the falafel, in a food processor, combine soaked and drained chickpeas, chopped onion, garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, baking soda, salt, and pepper.
Pulse the mixture until well combined and slightly coarse. Do not over-process.
Form the mixture into small patties or balls.
Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat for frying.
Carefully place the falafel patties in the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
To assemble the Falafel wrap, heat Soorya Whole Wheat Chapati in a stove-top and place it on a clean surface.
Spread a layer of hummus over the chapati, leaving a small border around the edges.
Place a few slices of falafel in the center of the chapati.
Top with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and fresh lettuce leaves.
Drizzle with tahini sauce and hot sauce, if desired.
Fold in the sides of the chapati and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a wrap.
Serve the Soorya Whole Wheat Chapati Falafel Wrap immediately and enjoy the savory flavors and textures!
